Miryana Todorova

Bulgaria, 1984

Visual artist who lives and works between Sofia and New York. Her projects combine painting, performance, video, movable architecture and public interventions. Miryana holds a BFA and MFA Fine Arts degree from the School of Visual Arts, NY. She has participated in numerous exhibitions in Europe and the US among which: The Grand Scheme of Things: On Migration at Manifesta 14 Biennial, Prishtina, The Way We Are at Art Agency, Sofia, Performative at Jennifer Baahng gallery, NY, Movables at frosch&portmann gallery, NY, Being at the Storefront for Art & Architecture, NY, and NY Temporary at the Center of Photography and the Moving Image, NY. Miryana is the recipient of the Gaudenz B. Ruf Award for Young Artist (2011) and was a resident and fellow at the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture (2012), ZK/U-Center for Art & Urbanistics Berlin (2013), District Berlin (2013), BRIC Brooklyn (2014), and Mana Contemporary NJ (2016). Her work is in the collections of Deutsche Bank 60 Wall St, New York Foundation for the Arts and Eileen S. Kaminsky Family Foundation and has been featured in publications such as Artforum, TimeOut NY, Blouin Artinfo, Le Monde Diplomatique, and Kultura
